Wanting to build a viewing rack

My husband's really good with tools, but I'm not good with figuring it all out. I'm looking to build a viewing rack to get rid of my tanks for the adults. What I'm looking to make is a melamine or like material(if you know of a good material that's not so heavy it would be a big plus), With sliding doors in the front. I want something better then glass tanks to see the geckos in.

Anyone have some good ideas?

Yeah. Just build that whole thing out of melamine then buy slide tracks at home depot or something and try to find PVC acrylic sheets for the "glass" in the sliders. Use flexwatt to heat it with vinyl tiles for the substrate. Maybe wire led lights if you wanna get fancy. And don't stick the tiles down. Leave the paper on the back so its removable and doesnt ruin the heat tape.
