Ok, well not really. This tang of mine goes and lays in the water bowl about 2 days prior to laying in the hide box and that's plenty damp. Does anyone else's females do this? This is the only one we've ever had do this. This is her second clutch she's going to be laying and the first looks fertile so far so...

I have a few geckos that like to lay in their water bowls, not sure why. I don't think it has anything tp do with her laying eggs, or maybe the water makes her feel thess fat LOL!

Do you put in a special lay-box for her? If you do, maybe you could put it in earlier and see if that helps. Just a thought.

I don`t know. My vet insists that my Leos need to "soak" every so often. I think they are able to absorb some water that way, actually.

I say that because sometimes one of my juvis will appear a bit on the dry-side, I have taken then at this point and given them a "shower" in the sink. I noticed that they will look much better, without the small dry patches that happen from time to time, and their color will even seem to improve.

I know it sounds a little strange, but just think these are animals who probably never would get the chance to drink from standing water, in the wild. I do not think there would be enough for them to soak in it either, but they have to utilize, whatever amount they can find.
