hey guys, another question :p

i got my first leo a few days ago :D

i saw it lick the calcium the first day, but havent seen it since... should i change the calcium every day or so? do they only like it fresh?

also... im not sure if it knows where the water is, i havent seen it drink any. originally i had a the water in a dish it wouldve had to step onto it to drink, so i thought maybe it just didnt see it... now i have the water in a small shallow dish and i still havent seen it drink, but i have seen it step into it a few times, so i would think its got to know where the water is now. is there a way to tell if its drinking, or to make it drink? (ive been changing the water daily)

anyway, thats all for now, thanks

I keep the calcium in small bottle caps (Gatorade etc). I only put a small amount in. Some of my guys knock it over. It's very rare to see them at the dish.

Providing fresh water daily is important. He'll drink it. Remember they are typically nocturnal so chances are you won't see him drink it. If he's having a real problem the first thing you'll notice is that his tail will start to thin out. A fat tail is a healthy leo.
