How bad are these to give the geckos on a regular basis?
I asked because Sparky used to just eat crickets. then I tried to add meal worms and he wanted nothing to do with it. Then I tried super worms and he was all for it. So I used those for a while, with crickets inbetween. I went to the pet store one time to get more and they were out so the girl recommened I use waxworms instead because they are softer and a bit healthier than the superworms. So I bought those and she loves them..Now ever since she had those, she refuses to eat crickets. I have tried several times and I really think she hates chasing the crickets, she seems to miss all the time and she gives up. I like the worms so much better, easier to keep, just warm them up and put them in a dish..... Thanks.

Yes, the gecko will love them...but you need to put a bit of control using them because "they will get hooked"
Wax worms are raised on honey and bran........
It's somewhat of a sweet tooth item.........

......

SOFTER YES, NOT HEALTHIER.
Put the meal worms/Super worms back on the diet, along with 1 or 2 wax worms........Only feed the wax if she eats meal worms/Supers.........She will not starve herself unless sick or stressed.........She will get back on track......Mine tend to demand certain "snack" items too....Wax is one of them.
Take care. HJ
