Its been a week today that Sparky dropped part of his tail off... Since then he has only eaten maybe two crickets. He did eat his tail after it came off and he shed the next day, so maybe that is why he has not been interested. Should I be concerned. I try every day to put a few crickets in, he almost tries to get one, misses and then gives up..... His tail looks ok, it looked a little red today so I put some neosporin on it, or what I could get on it, he did not like that much.... Maybe I should put some mealworms in a dish at night for him? he never liked them much before though....

Pull the rear legs off the crickets so they can't jump, they can still move around and he should be able to catch them..

My Leo didn't eat for. 4 days after he shed and ate it. How bug is your Leo? If it's got a plump tail it should be fine.

I found a thread on some other forum that someones adult Leo didn't eat for like 6 months and showed a small weight loss so you should be fine lol..

Sparky is doing pretty well since he dropped it. Been monitoring his bathroom habits and eating, he has shed twice since he dropped it, thats like twice in 3 weeks.... He has eaten a few crickets, but not very interested in them lately, probably because I introduced him to some superworms, since he wasnt eating after the tail loss, I wanted him to eat something, now he is spoiled... How do I nip that in the butt so he eats crickets again, or maybe I should try mealworms.... He is about 58 grams I think the vet said at his last visit...

Use tweezers and a pair of scissors to cut the legs off. Hold the cricket with the tweezers, then use the scissors to cut the leg off.
