So I've had my little buddy Gexter Morgan for almost 2 months now, and he still is cricket crazy! I found out the pet shop I got him from only fed him crickets dusted with supplements.
I read that most people will withhold crickets until they start eating the CGD and even then crickets aren't necessary, so I tried that, but my poor little dude will peer into my frog enclosure and watch the crickets almost salivating! Not only that, but every time I would mist his enclosure, he would lunge at the water droplets that were falling with his mouth open trying to eat them!
He was starting to get thinner than I felt comfortable with (I know cold blooded animals can go awhile without eating, but still) so I started dusting his CGD onto crickets and trying to get the crickets to eat the mix in hopes that it would help him develop a taste for it, although I'm not sure that's how it works with reptiles lol.
Any tips or tricks that you guys have that might help my little buddy make the switch? This guy looks at crickets the way I look at chocolate cake, so I'm willing to try anything!
