I have multiple questions
1. When do you weigh your geckos. right before feeding, after, etc.
2. Is 30g a normal weight for a 8" gecko
3. Is 40g a normal weight for a 7.5" gecko

thanks

that Ok, the pics help! The top one looks GREAT the bottom one looks good but could stand to gain some weight, the tail on the 1st one is how you want the 2nd one to look too.

I weigh every Wednesday...

Age vs. weight is much more relevant than length vs. weight... So if you could estimate their age for us it'd be easier to to help you out...

Ok... They are definitely under weight IMO... Wax worms are a great protein boost for them, but if you are able to get the ingredients I'd recommend Golden Gate Geckos' Slurry Recipe...

Judging from the pictures your geckos do not look like they NEED the slurry, but I think it'd definitely be a better option than over feeding with wax worms...

On the other hand, what are your geckos' enclosure temps and what is their feeding schedule? These should have been addressed earlier (sorry)...

Ok... The problem looks to be your temps... They are way too low...

You're going to want to get the temps around 92 and that can be 24 hours a day... You don't have to cycle the temps...

At a year odl they should be 50 grams at least even though the one looks Great in the pic, the weight for 1 year is not good at all at 30-40 grams

You need UTH (under tank heat) leos need belly heat not overhead heat, you will need to get an UTH and thermostat to regulate temps to 90-92 on hot, room temp on cool.

Sorry if I did not ask about this earlier but you asked about weights so I responded to that question ASSuming that the rest of you set up was correct.

The way to get fat on them is to get the temps correct, make sure they have no parasites and feed them lots of good quality gutloaded food dusted with the proper supplements.
