Wrinkled tail?
So, after cleaning out my leopard gecko's terrarium yesterday, the first thing I noticed about him while putting him into a temporary space, is that he looked thinner than he should be, and also has unusually loose, baggy skin on his tail. My concerns aren't so much about his general frame, but the baggy 'deflated' looking tail. I've never seen or heard of this before, so I don't really know what it could mean. Does anyone here know what it means for a leopard gecko to have a wrinkled, deflated tail? My current presumption is that wrinkles = dehydration and/or malnutrition, so I've been taking some measures to put extra weight/water into him.
Only thing I can mention about what followed up to my discovery is that, 1-1.5 weeks ago, his appetite dropped, and diarrhea appeared about 1 week before I cleaned out his terrarium. Originally I assumed they were just 2 freak incidents that occurred at the same time, (my gecko's another one of the kind which fast for a few days) and shrugged it off until the day I cleaned out his terrarium.
Bread and butter info; the basking temperatures hover at around the 90-92 F range, age is approximately 2 years. I've only been aware of anything wrong since Saturday, as I avoid disturbing him at night (Though I do make efforts to build trust with him, I usually do this after dark.)
Images of the animal in question to assess. Some emphasis on the thin body (thinner than it previously was), most of the emphasis on the loose, baggy tail.
