Hi, all!

Anyone know what range of weight a female, adult leopard gecko should be?

Thanks in advance,
Rich

Hard to say. Depending on genetics and environmental factors they can be 45g to 120g (possibly more if they're true super giants but I have no first hand experience with them). Several of my breeders are FAT at 50g and several are on the thin side at 65g. Just depends.

Thanks, guys. I'm so used to keeping tabs on her weight just by looking at her, especially since she's gained a lot of weight lately, which is definitely my fault. That's why I wanted to get some sort of actual measurement, just to be sure.

Thanks again for the info!

I usually gauge my gecko's overall health and ideal weight by sight. I don't want them too fat or too thin but the weight that is for each gecko is different. Once they level off gaining because of growing I usually weigh them every 2-3 weeks and keep the numbers in a spreadsheet. I try to feed them so they stay at whatever weight I like their look at and if they gain or lose a gram or two away from that number I switch up what I'm doing. There's no easy answer - you just need to figure out what works for you!

Same as dr carrot tail, I like to keep my female leo looking in proportion. Shes 66g but slender looking, if shes hungry she will eat but I dont overfeed her. She seems to enjoy coming out the viv so I get her out most nights and let her run around my room, I block off any potential hazards like under my tv unit and bed etc. with cushions, pillows and cardboard. Then just place stacked books around as climbing obstacles.
