weird discharge

Today we noticed that our male was licking his genital area quite a bit. When we looked at it, there appeared to be a gooey, whitish discharge coming from the slit part. He seems fine every other way, eating, pooing normally. He's 7 months and 60g. Is he sick? Is this normal?

Is he in with a female? Or any ovulating females around?

He is generally separated from our other 7 month female. The other day we put them together while cleaning the two cages for maybe 20 minutes. There wasn't any kind of sexual behavior, they didn't even seem to notice each other. I'm not sure if she's ovulating or not, she weighs 51g. We tried to check her belly, but we are inexperienced, and didn't see anything.

The male may be 'cleaning' himself' after copulation, or perhaps he ejaculated.
