I have an egg that was laid on 5-11. (have been trying to keep it at 80 degrees but had a few spikes in temp due to inside air conditioning issues that really did affect the enclosure) It looked fantastic from the outside. Big, strong looking egg. When candled at 2 days, it had pink on one end only. Clear down at the tip of the end, if that makes sense. It didn't have the typical bullseye appearance. It's 'stuff' was way down on one end. Seems to have implanted down there. ?? It candled pink but only near that end. It has been that way the whole time. Today, I pulled it out to have a look and the 'pink' end has some mold growing on it. It is in good condition otherwise. (except that 75% of it candles yellow) Why is it pink in just that end?
Has anyone had an experience like this? Most of my eggs have gone bad this season and they usually do not stay in good shape this long. It is really acting odd. Ideas???
