Got what I wanted, a turtle. A yellow bellied slider. I couldn't find any reeve's. I also traded my hogg islands for a pair of het orange ghost bp's. The show was otherwise dull. The only thing I saw that was just unbelieveably stupid was a guy free handling a rattler. WTF!!! He wanted to show how tame it was. Ok, first, isn't that against the rules to have venomous out?? Second, are you stupid??? I could less if it was a venomoid(which I don't know if it was or not), it's just plain dumb. Herps already get enough bad press from irresponsible owners, please don't go handling a rattlesnake at a show where some people just don't know better. One woman actually asked if she could hold it!?! The guy at least said no, but you see my point? I even told a woman who had her young girl with her to please stay away from that table because of that. The woman was just as shocked as I was that he had it out and made sure that everyone heard why she didn't want her kid near that table. I also couldn't believe that by 2 o'clock the parking lot was already half empty. The economy is just doing wonders for the biz. It may be a while before I go to another show again just because of the cost of gas and such.
