Went to Joshua Tree National Park

We only saw two reptiles and they were both this species of lizard:

I believe it's a Great Basin Whiptail (Aspidoscelis tigris tigris), but I'm not %100 sure.

It's a sideblotched lizard. I don't have my field guide handy and I don't recall the scientific name. Oops, here it comes, uta sansberiana.

I'm pretty sure that's what the latin is, I'm positive that it's a side blotch.

Cute active little buggers. Alligator lizards love them. For breakfast and lunch and dinner, but not so much for roomates.
