I know I've posted briefly on these two before, didn't have much to go on from the female as far as genetics aside from was told both were Mack snows and the male was giant. how can I tell if the female's a giant too or does she look average? She's steadily gaining weight, the person I just got her from said she laid eggs shortly before I bought her.

Well some call any gecko that gets over a certain size a giant, but it is really supposed to be carrying the giant genetics to call it a giant. If someone sold you a snow and didn't say it was giant, it probably isn't. Not to many true giant snows out there so the are pretty pricey. The only one I know of is designer geckos. But they are nice looking snows none the less. What do they weigh now? And how old?

Is there a way I can tell if one or both are Giants?

From what I understand (I dont work with Giants) the Males reach 80-110 grams and females 70-90 grams by the time they are one year old along with being at least 9" from nose to tail to be considered a Giant. (this may not be a fact just what I have picked up over time) That being said, they have to come from Giant genetics to be considered Giants. If there is no way to prove this through lineage (provided by the breeder) then they should be considered simply large geckos and not Giants. I have a couple large males that are 9" and around 90+ grams but they are not Giants.... just large animals.

From the picture they both appear to be adults or very close to it (judging by there colors and patterns) How old are they? The males appears to be a big gecko (looks like a 6qt tub they are in) and has a large head as many Giants do. The female looks normal size and does not appear to be a Giant at all IMO. Again I am not a Giant expert by any stretch.

They're in a 6qt tub, both adults female laid eggs in July. Not sure exact age but they came from Charlton Kangas according to the person I bought them from
