May I have your input on what you are feeding your leopard geckos? I'm curious what the spectrum looks like. My response would be:

80% Crickets
15% Mealworms
5% Wax Worms
0% Superworms
0% Cockroaches
0% Pinkie Mice

THANKS!

About 2/3 of mine eat dubia roaches every night or every other night.
They all have mealworms in their tubs every night. Not all of them will eat them though.
I occasionally give waxworms or silkworms.
The hatchlings are only eating mealworms.

My two current leos are on a cricket diet and get fed every few days mealies, and for a treat every once in a while they get waxies.

I do about: 40% Dubia Roaches, 40% mealworms, and 15% phoenix worms, 5% crickets.

My leos are picky eaters, they decide what they want to eat...
2 leos ---> 100% freshly shedded dubias (spoiled to the point that will even refuse to eat dubia with skin...) :( my fault.
1 leo ---> 100% mealworms (he'll rather starve to death if I offer him a different food item).

Others ---> 90% dubia roach, 10% mealworm or super worm.

95-99% mealworms. The rest waxworms, phoenix worms, crickets. I tried silkworms but none of my leopard geckos liked them. I have a couple females I am feeding waxworms to help them fatten back up after laying 3-4 clutches.

Wow! So far, the responses are all over the map, so I can conclude that there is no "typical" diet. Those with more leos do tend to prefer mealies over crickets, which would be a practical choice if they want to follow the "feed crickets for no more than 15 minutes" rule of thumb and not spend all day.

Now if I could just get my geckos to provide some feedback, I could find out what they like the best...

I wonder how the different mixes of feeders affects the balancing their nutritional needs (protein, fat, calcium content).

Yes, and I'd like to learn if there has been any research into what is optimal for them at the different stages of life.
