What can I feed my leo other than crickets?

My leopard gecko refuses to eat crickets! I try to put him in a separate container to feed him, but he just freaks out the whole time. For the past few weeks I've been putting him in the container and covering it with a towel, WITHOUT ANY CRICKETS, just so he can get used to it and not be scared. When he seemly started to get used to it I started adding just a couple crickets into the container and left him alone, with the towel over the container. I'd come and check on him about an hour later and he hadn't eaten any of the crickets. I did this once a day for about a week but he never ended up eating any crickets. I also tried feeding him the crickets on feeding tongs. But every time the tongs get close to him he just moves away, even though I know he sees the cricket.

He eats mealworms like a champ and is still very healthy, but I'm not sure if it's healthy for him to be eating only meal worms. What can I feed him other than crickets? I heard Dubia Roaches are good, but I don't think there's anywhere here that sells them. Can I order them online? If I don't have access to them, is there anything else I can feed him?

Babies tend to be pretty jumpy and can be easily scared with a new container. I leave mine a few mealworms in an escape proof bowl so they can come out and find them when they feel its safe to do so. Daily moving and handling will stress a small baby so its better to avoid it.

You can order dubia online If you're not in Florida or Canada (that I know of). The nice thing about dubia is that they need heat to grow so if you keep small ones at room temperature and make sure they have a carrot or potato to eat they should stay the right size and live for quite a while! My babies eat a mix of mealworms and dubia. They get a few superworms when they're over 25g or so but I hate crickets and don't feed them ever.

There's waxworms, (these are very fatty so don't feed a lot of these) phoenix worms, horn worms, silk worms, and as mentioned roaches :)

What about fruit's???

I'm not an expert or anything, considering I'm the one who asked the question initially, but I'm pretty certain you can't feed a leopard gecko fruits... I don't think they'd eat them even if you offered. I've never heard of a Leo eating fruits, or anyone even trying to feed a Leo fruits.

I think there was ONE TIME where I heard that you can give a leopard gecko baby food as a treat. But just like a couple licks worth. Any maybe like... Once a week.

But yeah. No fruits I don't think.

Leopard geckos are insectivores. They probably won't eat fruit and if they do it probably won't be very good for them. Cresteds are a bit more omnivorous and enjoy the occasional bit of fruit.
