So Lets say I made my own morph, called a chocolate. That would be considered the "reptinut line" chocolate if different breeders developed different "chocolate" lines, correct?

So lets say i decide to import 20 Wild Caught Leopard Geckos. I breed them, and introduce them to the hobby as a new blood line. Could i call these geckos the "reptinut" bloodline?

basically, its a line if it has gecko community recognition based on a visible difference from other geckos. For example, an electric tang looks different than a tornado, or a albey tang looks different than a blood hypo, and so on and so on... If you get 20 wild bloodline geckos and can produce something that has a noticeably different appearance than you can call it its own line. if they look like any other normals i wouldnt call them their own line.

I feel that by the time you get to the F3 generation i don't think many people will argue that it's not your own line.

this does not imply anything special about the animals, particularly, since a unique line doesn't necessarily mean you have a new morph, just that it's genetically different from other lines.
