Okay i am so confused! I have been on this forum for a few months now, and i keep hearing different things like "nice bell" and "wow look at that enigma" or "pretty tremper"

what defines a bell? what defines and enigma? How can you tell what they are?

I know i must sound like a total moron, but i haven;t been able to find on the net what defines what.

Thank you!

To me a horse is a horse...could be a big horse, small horse, white horse, brown horse....still, it's a horse! Same goes for leopardgeckos. There are just to many morphs to list them all in one post, so the links Jeremy gave you...consider them homework and you'll be able to say the same things in a few weeks! ;)

Enigma is something I hardly understand, so I wont even get into that.

Bell and tremper, as well as rainwater (aka las vegas) are the three strains of albino. The albinos generally have noticably lighter eyes than a non-albino. One can also distinguish between the three strains of albino by looking at the eyes. Observing the color of the geckos body helps, but is not 100% reliable. This trait is recessive, so if something is 'het' it means it's carrying it but not showing it.

There are lots of other recessive, dominant, co-dominant, and line bred traits. I will be happy to explain any that I understand to you if you just send me a PM
