What do the numbers mean?

I don't mean to sound stupid but I have been wondering this for a long time now.... What does it mean when someone writes 1.0.0 crested geckos, or 2.3.2 gargoyle geckos?

I have really tried to figure it out on my own so i would not sound stupid, but i give up... Now i'm asking! lol

male.female. not sure. thats what the numbers mean. first one is male second female and last unsexed.



had to edit cause i typed to fast and screwed up the word number. LOL
