K guys just want to know what you think about my viv and Bam Bam(Gecko :])
I got her about 1 1/2 weeks ago from pets at home i dont actually know how old she is which is bad but you know. Im feeding her 4 crickets/hoppers a day im slowly but surely making him tame. Also im not sure when she is going to shed but i have a hide in their just incase. Anyway tell me if you think she looks well. The temp of the viv is normally anywhere from 22*c to 30*c is that ok?
Here is her viv its 24 long by 12.4 deep

Shes a lovely gecko and a really nice set up.

my one problem is the light, there is no need for it and it is just stressing your gecko out, i recommend getting rid of it.

but it looks like a good home for her.

Theres no reason why a light should stress a gecko out they are nocturnal and accept that there is light during the day time. Theres plenty of hides for it to sleep in during the day a light cycle is a natural thing for a gecko.

Nice looking leo by the way and your set up looks fine.

Well the light just warms up the viv and makes it wamer in their because without it, its not very warm so in my opinion its need but :/

Looks healthy to me. Nice looking gecko.

One thing I would do is change out that heat lamp for an under tank heater. Leos need belly heat to digest their food. Is that wire I see a thermometer probe? I can't tell you enough how easy a digital thermometer makes things. The basking spot should be at 32 degrees instead of 30. your low end temperature seems fine.

You seem to have a lot of water in there. 2 water dishes are not necessary. Leopard geckos are from desert areas. And what exactly is that in the humid hide? I can't quite identify it. Also, that's a calcium dish, right?

I agree it is a beautiful gecko.
And I see no reason to get rid of the light as long as you turn it off at night. It will not stress your gecko out as long as it is off at night. I also feel it is good idea to give the gecko a sense of day and night. I do, however, agree that leopard geckos do not need light since they are nocturnal so need belly heat instead. Do you have a heating mat or something to make the bottom of the vivarium warm (as well as a thermostat)?

I have a heat mat under there in the left back hand corner. Also i just want to see which water dish it prefers and in the humid hide it is a type of moss or something that a few local pet shops recomended to put in its humid hide. That yellow tub is a calcium dish btw.
Thanks for the feedback

Nice looking leo! With regard to the heat mat, you need to measure the floor temp directly above it. The warmest spot should be higher than 30C, I would aim at 34-35C.

well thats basically what i meant about the light... needs to be on a timer. though it is unnecessary, if you have a window in the room, a day and night sense will come from, well normal day and night. and especially its not too good if its giving off heat.
which i see its on the right hand side of the viv, and your UTH is on the left? so which side is the cool side?
