I have a female that I have been told has a possibility of producing piebald offspring (i will add her pic at the end) and am wondering do you think if I breed her to a 100% het pied male...do you think i could get pied babies?

If you are thinking she is a het pied because of the white markings, she is not. Those appear to be healed injuries.

No, actually it is the color of her scales. When I first got her I thought they were scars too, but its her scales. She has them down both sides. I did not assume that she was het pied...that's what i have had numerous python people tell me.

There is no way to tell a het from looking at a snake.
Those scales and pattern look nothing like what a pied would look like.
I tend to think they are white scales due to an injury being healed. Once healed, the new scales are either white or black.

There is signs that you can see on some hets. One thing to look for on a het pied is on the underside of the snake. There can be black stripes on the sides of the belly. They will be unbroken stripes and fairly long.

Piebald is a recessive gene, you will se no pieball charatrisitics in a het. If you breed her to a 100% het Piaball male, you will get 100%, 50% het Piebald, animals. If she does end up beign het piebald. You will get 25% piebald, and 75% Normal, 66% het Piebald.

I honestly don't think its a Het Pied or a Calico, I think it is just a ringer or a paradox. But hey you never know it could be a Het or not. I think its worth a try.

Attached is a pic of a Genetic calico.
