One of my girls seems to be a bit confused as far as what morph she wants to be. I got her at about 1.5 months old, and she was pale yellow and real nice dark lavender. She quickly started developing spots, and that pale yellow started to look like someone took a highlighter to her, then started to fade some. Now, 4 months later to the date, she's basically a normal colored gecko, and super spotty. Any more spots, and she'll be black! The breeder (Top Hat Geckos) had her marked as a snow, and I've had several people tell me that that isn't quite right. I'm curious to see what you guys think :)

Here she is a few days after bringing her home:

2.5-3ish(?) months old:

And from a few days ago (5-6 months old). The lavender still shows pretty good, with a bit of a grey overcast, but the lighting isn't very good. The yellow shows pretty true, though.

You think so? What would do you think would make people say otherwise? Genetics is by no means my area, so I'll leave it to you guys LOL

Well the thing with snows is that the only show that they're snows when they're hatchlings. White and black or very faint yellow and black, like yours. As they get older they start to develop more yellow and start to look like normals. Since yours had a larger amount of yellow as a baby (but still in the snow range IMO) it probably has a higher yellow as an adult too, which might be throwing people off.

Ah, makes sense! Do you think that lavender will continue to fade at this point? I haven't noticed much change recently, now that growth has slowed down.
