So I had a kinda wierd idea for my next fishtank.

I wanted to get glass fish and ghost catfish:

You know, the see-through kind. My idea was to have a "Haunted sunken ship" idea.
Petsmart sells sunken ship decor and I though the see through fish would be like the ghosts of the pirates.

lol, I know kinda wierd.
But its a 25 gallon show tank and only two species of fish is kinda lame.
So here are some fish I thought might go:

That's a pretty sweet idea, if the tank was a little bigger I would say a black ghost knife fish would be cool as well, even though they are black the way they move reminds me of a ghost kind of haha. I think out of the 4, the gold skirt is the most ghostly looking. Also, don't know if you want inverts in there, but you could also through in some ghost shrimp for good measure lol.

Knife fish are not good tank buddies.
People often forget how big they get, or don't give them the proper diet.
Plus, they would kill the more sensitive fish. I have kept knifes before and really have no desire to do it again.

Just wanted to let you know that when you're searching for these fish you want, I urge you to stay away from died fish as it is cruel to them. All of the fish you want are typically died (your example fish aren't). They are died because they are easy to color because they are clear. Just be careful. ;) Good luck!

Oh, and those tetras are fiesty and should be kept in large groups. If they aren't in groups of 5+ fish, they pick on the other fish terribly.

I know I have been doing fish for 10 years :)
They commonly dye the glass fish I know and tattoo the parrots

Well I just got a 50 gallon hexagon tank I just need to buy a lid, IDK if I want to put this theme in here or go for larger fish.

That is an awesome idea, they also sell Ghost Shrimp at Petsmart, probably Petco too, and they are really awesome! Although we bought some and they did die the very next day.. not sure if we just got a bad bunch or what.. we really enjoyed having them while we did though, and you can get 3 for a dollar.. maybe you will have better luck with them

The selection of fish you picked should work out nicely. It should be fascinating to see all of those tetras schooling together since they are schooling fish.

From what I have read glass catfish like to be in groups of 3 or more. They actually come out of hiding more this way and obviously the same goes for the tetras but that wont be a problem.

Just make sure you dont add any fish with long flowing fins as tetras are terrible fin nippers and will tear off all long finnage.

You seem like an experienced fish hobbyist so just remember the cardinal rule which is Reasearch BEFORE you buy fish.
