We recently went to a 48x18x24 wood terrarium for our relatively new leo's. When we did, it seemed that we no longer had a cool side, and a warm side, as the temperature was pretty much the same throughout.
The only heat is provided by a UTH, and residual from lights.
After adding a small fan, we now have approximately a 8-10 degree split; 90 warm side, and 82 cool side during day.
The best part, is that this fan was picked up for only $7.00 from Walmart. It is very quiet, doesn't create hurricane type wind, and has helped with our temperature split from warm and cool.
Plus, I would like to think it is helping with ensuring that fresh air is always available.
What do you think? Anyone else use a fan for circulating air in their enclosures?
