What happened to the black pearl?

I am looking at threads a few years ago and people talk like the black pearl is the greatest thing to hit the gecko market. But I haven't seen anything about them lately. What happened to this morph?

The Leopard Gecko Wiki page accuses them of being a scam though.

He states that they aren't true black pearls. For such a promising project, I wonder why there are only 3 left.

Thanks, I was on my iPad and it's very cumbersome to search and post and whatnot

Read that entire post and I guess it is pretty disappointing that there are only 3 left.
