What happens if you introduce a non-ovulating female to a male?

Breeding still occurred, but will the female become pregnant? or does she have to be ovulating to produce fertile eggs? any information would be helpful:)

the female will have to be ovulating to produce fertile eggs. but even though she's not ovulating, the male will more than likely try to mate with her anyway. i've had success though pairing up non ovulating females to "jump start" their ovulation. also have noticed by placing the non ovulating female in with an ovulating female, seems to kick in as well.

ok, thanks guys! After breeding, I realized I had forgot to check if she was ovulating... I checked a few days later when I realized that was probably a big factor in whether she was going to be preggo or not. No ovulation spot that I can see, so I'm guessing she wasn't ovulating even though she readily accepted the male. I'll keep checking, and looking for the ovulation spot:)

BTW both the male and female are in separate tanks

I had my guys together..and I know for a fact my male mated with my female prior to ovulation..but she also did after as well. My first clutch produced one fertile one infertile egg same with second clutch...3rd and 4th are fertile.

Also if Im correct females can storm sperm if they mate and are not ovulating??
