Well, I thought this was from a cricket. I took out all the crickets, and applied some neosporin. A week went buy and it is getting better. Scabbed up and started getting smaller. Then today I looked at her, and it seems as if she has bit the very tip off her tail. The only thing I changed in her tub was I took her off the paper towel humid hide and put in vermiculite to prepare for breeding. When I found this I put the paper towel back. I wasnt that worried till I seen were she had bit the tip off. Shes alone in a 32 quart tub. No crix since the incedent. Any ideas? I will go to the vet if it gets any worse, but I figured it was a flesh wound from a cricket that would be taken care of with some neosporin and time...What do yu all think?

I'm not sure what that is, but it can't hurt to try this.

It's just electrolyzed oxidizing water, but I swear it works wonders on snake and gecko skin problems. Spray once or twice a day. It also comes in a 24 oz. container. Last year one of my leos had either thermal burn or a fungus eating away at a few of her toes and the tip of her tail. The Herptile RX stopped the damage. Also I was told that the company who supplies petco and petsmart with their herps say this is the only thing that works. They use it on frogs too.

Did you order that spray yet? Here's a picture of my APTOR before the Herptile RX spray healed her. I found her UTH to be malfunctioning, so I'm pretty sure this was thermal burn. That damn UTH ran full on even if it was on a temp control that was turned down low. Just a lesson to always check surface temps. Anyway, this gecko has since produced 4 RAPTORs and she's a happy girl.

I've also used the spray on some kingsnakes I got last year that had a very weird skin fungus problem. It worked on them too, so I highly recommend it.

I love that Earth Balance spray ... clears my dog's hotspots right up and the hubby and I use it on ourselves too. Works great on animal scratches and bites - I'm a vet tech, so I have an endless supply of the bites and scratches!
