What would be a good back up plan if our gravid girl lays her eggs before the incubator and other supplies get here via ups/fedex? We just want to have a back up plan in set just in case since she's starting to show. We've even put her a lay box in already. She's started to hang out in there, just hasn't started digging yet.

If this happened to you, what would you do to try and keep the eggs going until your supplies showed up?

put some perlite in a delie cup mixed to albey ratio and put ut on the warm side of your viv or if you have a body heat pard with a ajustable switch set that up and try to stable the temps best you can. If your getting a hova and you have a farm and feet near by they will a hova on hand, they are usally cheaper cause you dont have to pay shipping. I use them as an overflow/back up if the one I built gets full.Hope this helps.

I would try to get a section of her enclosure within incubation range, say, 84-88F at the midlevel of the laybox nedium; and put the laybox there. That way the eggs will develop. You just won't get to select for temp sexed babies.
