What is an average weight/size?

We got Cinnamon as a hatchling, he was about 6 weeks old and just 6g (and had I known then what I know now, we would not have gotten such a little dude but waited) Anyway, he is doing great as far as we can tell. He is gaining weight, seems to be happy, eats well and seems healthy.

We weigh him every month or so, just to get an idea of how things are going but I see conflicting info on what is an average weight for his age.

He is a Mack Snow morph, hatch date approximately October 18. 2013. This puts him at right about 8 months old. He eats crickets and meal worms. Today he weighed in at 41g, up 5g since late April and is just about 7" long. He looks healthy to me but I would just like to know if this is about where he should be. (He is a guess....Daughter decided he was male, I have never looked so we call him a boy) Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I feel that the ideal weight for a leopard gecko varies by body type and length, much like with people. Look for the gecko to have a good fat store on its tail and a bit of roundness to the body/limbs. If he starts looking all "Jabba the Hutt", it's time for a diet... :)

Yours looks gorgeous just he way he is! You can tell by his great weight and color that you take good care of him. Although, from this angle, looks like maybe he is a "she"...

My 11 yr old, who is his person, insists he is a boy. Guess I should get her to hold him so I can take a peek. Even if he turns out to be a girl, I think we are so used to hiim being a boy, we would still use the male pronoun.

I thought he looked healthy so it is nice to get confirmation that we are doing things correct. Cinnamon is our first leopard gecko.

We invaded Cinnamon's privacy this afternoon to take a good look in good light and there is no doubt....he is most certainly female. Having said that, I doubt we will break the habit of referring to Cinnamon as "he" and "he" won't care one bit :)

We also have a cockatiel named Dimitri, who ultimately turned out to be female but everyone in the house refers to "he" "him"

She looks very healthy. I have one just a couple weeks older than her and he is much larger. But he is a male so that makes sense. Based on size alone I would have guessed female. But by the picture she looks female as well.
