I have heard that the best time to breed geckos is between the 1 and 2 year age span. If I purchase geckos that are a bit older - lets say 6 years of age.. when I attemp to breed will the outcome be less eventful or does is cause more stress to an older geckos body - (as is does with women in later years) ?? At what age are they considered too old- or do they stop ovulating? Any response would be greatly appreciated :main_yes:

A healthy 6 year old female is capable of producing good clutches, but her fertility will begin to decline at about that age. It will also depend on how many clutches she has laid in the past.

IMO, the 'prime' age for females to reproduce is from 1.5 - 3 years of age, but this will vary between geckos.
