What is this stuff?

I have found this in my Leo's cage about 3 times now. I don't know what it is or if it is any cause for concern. I've only noticed it in his water dish but it could be hidden elsewhere in the cage.

For reference it is about 3/4"

I've included a picture of Spike and his house in case that provides any clues. He is about 10 years old and this is pretty much what his cage has always looked like. All he eats is crickets. I've been lizard sitting him for about 6 months now for my brother.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Looks like a bit of wood that was mixed in with the bark. It is normal to find bits here and there, the screening process can't catch every little piece.

i keep my turtle in a similar substrate sometimes, the wood chips can expand or whatever in the water dish and look funny. unless its a really odd poop that contains a lot of wood chips :D

Good show. Thanks guys. It looked a lot different when it was still soaked in the water dish.
