First off, I want to thank you guys. As a new leo owner, you cannot know how unbelievably helpful you have been for all my questions. Despite all the research I did before I bought her, there's been so many other things I've run into which are not covered on care sheets. So, I'm so glad I found this forum and that you guys are so helpful.
I've been trying to do alot of research to see if I could discover what branch of the leopard gecko family mine came from. I've already learned that what I thought were snake-eyes was wrong, but I'm still interested to learn more about my breed.
Since her last shed she has started to lose the spots on her back. I can compare pictures from the day I brought her home to those taken yesterday and she has a more solid mass of yellow on her back. Between her eyes her skin is starting to turn green (God I hope this is not some kind of parasite or sick). In certain lighting along her back she appears to also have a slight green tint. I've tried to take pictures of it so I could post here and see if she's ok, but the flash makes the green disappear as it's so faint. When I compare pictures of leos online to mine, the patterns of her body seem closest to (some; not all) emerines and also to the eclipse.
Which is the most common leopard gecko out there? The type most of your pet stores are going to carry?
Thanks
David
