what makes an enigma besides the star gazing and stuff can you tell by color or pattern and can they have be an engima and not show the behavior stuff ?
The Enigma gene goes along with the syndrome. All the enigmas may show the behavior sometime in their lives, but some show it more severe than others. Stress, bright light, breeding or ovulation may trigger the syndrome.
The enigma pattern usually shows "blotched" or circular marks instead of bands, white or greyish tail, very little to no carrot tail and copper colored eyes.
A parent not showing signs of the syndrome doesn't guarantee that the offspring won't. It's really just a crap shoot as far as I know but as AlexB said the symptoms can be triggered in some leos.
