I just got this little guy on Saturaday. Didn't pay for her but decided to take it off someone's hands. Has a few missing toe tips, from not shedding properly but those don't look new. Other than that, this little girl seems healthy. But the person I got her from didn't know much about her. I am guessing she is a Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot Tail (SHTCT). Do you agree or what do you think she would be?

I can't remember what the percentage of the tail has to be orange for it to be considered a carrot tail.... 30%???? So I think it would just be a SHT. I, in my infinite wisdom, could possibly be wrong though. lol

He does have a couple spots, which would make him a hypo rather than a super hypo by the strictest definition of the morphs. The colors seem to be off, so it's hard to say if he's tangerine or not.

I'd call her a hypo. Generally super hypos do not have spots on the body. Maybe a tangerine but it's hard to tell from the picture. Hope her tail fattens up for you. :)

She is kind of a dirty orange/yellow. So I don't know if it's just a dull tang or not. I would have to agree on the Hypo due to the 1 spot at the base of her tail and those 2 tiny ones near her belly but I couldn't remember the actual rule. But the tail is lot more orange that what appears in the pic, so I am going to stick with the Carrot Tail.

So far we have come up Hypo Tang Carrot Tail.

Anyone else have any ideas. I am positive that she will put on a lot of weight in my care.

What constitutes it being a tang???

And what's the difference between Hypo and Super Hypo?

Just to clarify, if the spots are on the head, its NOT a baldy, but if the spots are on the tail its a hypo? Ahhh, confusion.

The overall coloration of the leo constitutes what it is. Such as yellow or orange(tang). The pic shows the orange a little darker than it actually is but it is kind of a dingy orange. Even though it isn't bright I would consider it a Tang. Difference between Super Hypo and Hypo is number of spots. 10 or less is Hypo and none on the body would be considered to be Super Hypo. It really depends on where the info is coming from though.
