I am confused between Harlequin, Harley and Flame.. I think Viscious is a red flame, not too sure tho.. check him out

Its a harley... Harleys have the color on the sides... flames dont...

Flames can have patterns on the sides also. It becomes a harley when there is a good amount of patterns on the sides and legs. A flame can have little to no patterns but they can still have the flame patterns.

That one would be considered a harley.

Thanks guys! I had no idea Harley was short for Harlequin.. I feel a little silly I just got into cresteds I have mostly leos. He does have patterning on his limbs not too heavily, tho the lighter color outlines the legs. He is only about 4 months old so he may get some more in there. Thanks for the site also it was very helpful (I put it in my faves)

I have no idea about crested geckos, and was wondering is there any “real” genes to them. Meaning are there any recessive, dominate, or co-dominate mutations in crested geckos as of yet? Or is everything line breed up to this point?

There are no real morphs out there, everything is line bred. Even if you breed two geckos together with the same traits you can still get a totally different looking gecko. But if you are going for a certain trait, you have a much better chance of getting it if you breed that kind of gecko together, like a red x red, dalmation x dalmation.

Some of the lines out there now have been worked on for so many years that you can have a good idea of what the babies will look like when they are paired together.

Hey guys I am just putting my two cents in about crested morphs. Cresteds are polymorphic, which means their patterns and color varies naturally. So when you breed two cresteds together the offspring has a chance of looking nothing either parent. When it comes to breeding Cresteds you never know what morph or color you might get. That said the babies always have a very good chance of looking like the parents also. At least that's the way I understand it.:main_cool3:
