Ok, I recently aquired these 2 female geckos. The first one is sadly missing most of her toes :/

I wasn't given definate answers on morphs, but I believe they are...

I would call them a Hypo Tangerine (not quite a Super because there are a few body spots), and a Super Hypo Tangerine (not a Baldy because there are a few head spots).

ALright will do, what exactly is the criteria for describing the morphs like the hypos and super hypos?

Also, can anyone clarify why the "doe" eyed geckos shouldn't be bred?

Hypo- less than 10 spots on body outside of bands
Super Hypo- NO spots on body.

A hypo has greatly reduced spotting on the body, typically 15 or fewer spots, though I have also seen hypo defined as reduced spotting with the spots being contained to areas that are black banded in a hatchling. A Super Hypo has no spotting on the body, and Baldy means no spotting on the head.

"Doe" or "Bug" eyes are considered a deformity and are not desirable for breeding because they may be a genetic trait that could be passed on to the next generation.

Oh wow, thanks for all the information you guys! Great site!

One more question about morphs... What is the difference between a Mack Super Snow and a Super Snow? Or is there any dif. at all?

Mack snow is a codominant trait, heterozygous individuals are called mack snows, they hatch out black and white then develop more color as they grow. Mack super snow is the homozygous form, they keep the black and white color, have black eyes, and the pattern is usually stripes made up of fine spots.

Super Snow usually refers to a Mack Super Snow, but crossing a mack snow to one of the other snows (TUG, GEM, or Line bred) can also produce Super Snows, which is why many people will specify that a gecko is a Mack SS.
