diced oranges, sliced carrots, and sliced pattotos work very well, and much cheaper:)

Those are all great sources for moisture, but feeders need a staple diet too. If you keep your mealworms/superworms in a bedding of this gutload you can be sure your geckos are getting all the nutrients they need. I used to use just wheat bran for bedding and carrots/sweet potatos as a moisture source. At the time I had several females at the 30-40 gram range that I wanted to breed. At their current growth rates I figured it would be 3-6 months before they were breedable. Well I've been using Cody's Pro Gutload for about 4 months now and not only are those females in the 60-75 gram range; they've also colored up a lot. As far as being cheaper, I don't think $14 for a 5lb bag every month or so is that bad. As more babies hatch here I'll have to upgrade to the 10lb bag, but whatayagonnado eh?! Oh don't waste your money on the fancier shipping methods. I've used the 'Best Way' method everytime and it takes 3-5 days.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that since I've been using CPG my beetle colony lives much longer and are more productive too. I haven't had to buy mealies in two months!
