Look, Ray asked if the tank size would be OK for a 1.2 and it is an Ok size for that group.

This is about tank size not about breeding age, weight etc. The tank is large enough for the 1.2.

Im not suggesting that you put a non breeding age/weight group toegether and that aspect can be discussed in the appopriate section.

I don't think a 20L is big enough for 3 geckos. The "general" rule of thumb is one gecko per 10 gallons. It is also advisable to have one warm and cool hide per gecko to help alleviate stress from crowding. With 3 geckos and 6 hides in the cage there wouldn't be much room to walk around and hunt.

I would go for the 40 gallon, it would really open up some room for them to get away from each other if needed. Remember that the geckos need to be similar in size and weight.

actually the general rule is 10" (100 sq") of floor space per leo when housing groups and a 20 LONG is 30 x 12, I also PREFER a 40 LONG 48 x 12 but a 30 x 12 of a 20 long would be OK with a total floor space of 360 sq inces.

I use a 40 long for 1.3 to 1.4 a 55 gallon would easily hold a 1.3 - 1.4 as well.

A 20 long isn't that bad for a breeding group. If you think about it, that's more space then they get when a group of 3 or 4 are put into a sweater box in a rack. If you can give them more room I'm sure they would appreciate it, but a 20L should be ok.

No matter what size cage you use just make sure they get along. Keep an eye out for dominance issues, such as weight loss, bite marks, loss of appetite, etc.
