What temps to use a cold pack?

I know the question of when to use a heat pack has come up a lot but I am curious what temp to use a cold pack? I have never shipped in warmer temperatures so would also like to know whats the max safe shipping daytime high for a leo... 90? 85?

When i first got my leos i wasnt told they needed a heat source.. thanks chain store... lol but they were living just fine in my room temp at about 75 for two weeks, but safest bet is to just not ship if you dont think the temps are safe enough. Or you could just try not shipping with a temp source at all. if its in the 80-90 degree outside temp heat range i wouldnt worry especially if you are going to overnight them . Dont forget, these are desert geckos.. heat drops at night anyway Best thing to do is ask yor shipper what temps the transport vehicles are when shipping reptiles. Id steer clear of cold packs just because cold can be more detrimental than heat is plus its only 24 hours. so check weather forcasts and when its not as hot ship it.

Actually, it's better for them too be cold than hot.

I usually put a cold pack in when it's above 80 degrees. I wrap it well in newspaper and make sure it's not touching the deli cups. I don't usually ship when it's higher than 90 outside.

Yeah too much heat is far worse than being cold.

I was always under the impression cold was worse than too warm, well thanks i have learned something new
