Hi! I am very new to leopard gecko breeding, i've been doing as much reading as I can, but I always feel anxious without input from other people.

I have two bell albino girls, one a huge fatty tail girl and the other has laid 3 infertile eggs (and the other promptly squashes them).

I was wondering what would be good to breed with a bell albino to make a cool lineage, or what people would like to see. I'd like to get some cool morphs going, of course. I've been looking for W&Y males because I wanted to try for an aurora, but I would like to see what other options I have because I am struggling on finding one with the right genetics.

Responses, suggestions, input very appreciated! :main_laugh: I hope this is the right place to post this, I was unsure wether to put this in genetics or breeding, so sorry if I've done something wrong.

There is not much that you cannot breed with a Bell Albino strain. The only thing that you don't want to breed to a bell albino is any other kind of albino (Tremper/Rainwater/or even hets for either).

Are you animals "pure" or do they have any hets?
If they are "pure", it will take a while to get a cool morph.

For example:

A bell with no hets + a Normal = Normals het. Bell
A bell with no hets + a bell with no hets = Bell Albinos
A bell with no hets + any other RECESSIVE gene with no hets = Normals het both
- Example a Bell + Eclipse = Normals het Bell and Eclipse

If you have "pure" animals, you can breed it to another "pure" animal to get the same kind of animal.

In order to make a "new" morph (for you), the animal must have two copies of a particular gene. If an animal only has 1 copy, that is known as a "het" (which means the animal carries the gene but it is not visible). So "hets" are where new morphs come from.

For example:

A bell albino that is het for eclipse + A bell that is het for eclipse = potential Radars
