What to breed with SHTCTB?

I know that when you cross a SHTCT with Tremper albino you get sunglows. Other than that combination, what other pairings produce cool and interesting looking morphs?

In the first generation, you would not get anything terribly interesting from a SHTCTB. With an albino, you would get normals with varying amounts of tang and spotting that are het for tremper and could produce sunglows the next year. This goes for all the recessive morphs.

The exceptions are the non-recessive morphs. Mack snow, enigma, and white and yellow. However, there would be little point to breeding a tang to mack snow and I don't personally condone the breeding of engimas. You would probably want to pick something that will bring out the tang.

A sunglow or a tang eclipse might be cool, or even another high quality SHTCTB.

I think the biggest question here is do you know the exact genetics of your tang? Does it have unknown hets? If so, I would highly recommend getting some new stock whose genetics are known. They don't have to be super expensive. Many breeders have decently prices animals that you can work with.

She has no hets. I don't mess with enigmas either. I own ball pythons too and I won't mess with spider and woma genes for the same reason - neurological defects. Not that this makes a difference, but I actually think she's a SHTB, not enough orange in the tail to be considered a carrot tail. SHTB_F.jpg
