I have a Giant APTOR Albino het RAPTOR. She is 14 months old and is a virgin and housed by herself. I was waiting for her to get bigger before breeding. She is 10" long and weighs 50 grams after laying this morning. I don't like to breed my females until they have impressive looking fat tails. She has some meat on her tail, but since it is so long it just looks to skinny towards the back of the tail. It just seems that I can't get her tail to be where I want it before breeding. All my geckos are on excellent diets and adequate supplements. We breed our own worms that are gutloaded and they always have access to food. Also she is a fine eater. I was wondering if I should place her with a male since she is laying anyways? Any advice would be greatly appricated. Her are some pics that I just took after she had laid. Thank you

I agree. One of our females is just like her, she is very long, weighs 50 grams right after laying.. Her tail is the same too, I think it's just because she's so long, her tail will never get super fat like the rest (10 inches is exceptionally long for a female). Her tail gets pretty plump when she's preggo, though!

i think this came up before but i can't find the thread.. some people said yes and others said no.
I think i would say no. The female could reabsorb a clutch and you don't want to put more stress on her than she already has by putting a male with her.
