This is strictly out of curiosity so please don't flame me. What would happen if a female laid eggs in her humid hide & you didn't take them out & incubate them? Would they hatch or just dry out?

depends..generally you lost the eggs..
in some cases, in a naturalistic vivaria, some eggs can hatch...but is really hard don't see that she has liad eggs ;-)

It would probably dry up or mold, depending on how wet you keep the humid hide. I think you would be extremely lucky if the egg lasted long enough to hatch. Another big problem could be if the mother is using the humid hide. She could break the egg or turn it over killing it.

I have found eggs after a few days that actually hatched fine, the thing is...I set up my egg laying tanks especially...to be like 88 in the humid hide, and I use spaghnum moss as a substrate.

So , the substrate was moist, and the eggs didn't get dried out, luckily...
I would advise checking often , though...
