Though the temps say male, the length of time suggests it could be female. That coulds go either way and I find it's never in my favor either. Something is off with your temp and time I think , because 88-89 hatches in 31-35 day at my house and 81-83 hatched in the 50+ range.

Thats what I thought Paul but those are not my temps. Those are the temps that my tremper male (that I just bought) was incubated at and I just found out that he hatched on day 56! I think he is going to be a she!

How big is it? I did indeed hatch 5 males out of 8 eggs incubated at 81-82 for 50+ days and go figure, they were all SS tremper albinos..sniff sniff

Oh dear, how frustrating! I understand your sadness!
Did you mean age or size? He is about 3 weeks old, weighs 6 grams and is about 10 cm's long. Its the one in the the post "Tremper Confirmation" that I post last week in the Morphs and Genetics section.

6GRAMS....... You will know what it is in 2 months maybe. That's pretty small, you might want to wait until they are 12-15 grams next time you buy.

I would normally wait but trempers are not easy to get here so I snatched it up! It's ok if it urns out to be female. I'll have to look for a male then. Just another excuse to get another!!!!

Well the image you posted and length of incubation makes me believe you have a female mostlikely, but time will tell.

Yeah, in the US we are spoiled with leo morphs, but you can snag up Leopard tortoises for free :)
