This question is to find out the best way to prepare the dinner plate when mealies are the primary food source. I want to make sure that I'm supplying the proper amount of vitamins etc.

What exactly do you put (or not put) in the dish with them (calcium, gut load, vitamins etc)? Thanks once again for clearing things up.

i put a small amount of the gutload so the worms dont eat each other, and sprinkle a small amount of vitamins. if you put to much vitamin/calcium powder, i believe you can actually smother the mealies. It doesnt matter if the gecko eats some of the gutload, since the whole point of gutloading is to get that stuff into the gecko via the worms.

i do clean the stuff out of the dish once a week.

I think that gutload is sufficient along with a little bit of a vegetable so that they can get a little water or maybe a sponge.

I gutload my mealies with some water source (fruits, veggies) right away. Then I put them in the fridge with the regular gutload. Inside the tank, I just put the mealies in with regular gutload and just a little bit of calcium. Once a week I take the mealies out of the fridge for about an hour and repeat that same gutload process.
