It looks like a recent stuck shed over the eye. Complications can occur if it is not removed in a timely manner. Excellent photo :)



i can second this!!! i have posted a thread and updated it with this similar situation. if indeed it is a piece of shed skin that was not completely removed.....get an eye wash (Salene) and wash the eye out. i used q-tips and touched very softly to see if i could pull it out. although the eye never got effected, my gecko did end up having (2) ruptured corneas which in a short timeline has led to her death (5-9-2011) :(.

most eye infections... and this appears to be an infection rather than a stuck shed in my opinion, are due to vitamin A deficiencies. make sure you're using a good vitamin and calcium suppliment and you might be able to get some antibiotic drops for the eyes from a vet. boric acid can be used for an antiseptic eyewash as. look for instructions online as it's used for humans and livestock too.
