What is the best food source and what are you gut loading them with?

Well I am kind of bias these days. I would have to say hands down roaches are the best food source. I keep a variety of species. dubia, discoides, lateralis, prosticus, and orange heads. they have a great meat to shell ratio and when gutloaded properly I find they cant be beet. I feed my colonies apples, bananas, sweet-potatoes, squash, and a homemade dry gut load recipe made with oat-meal, wheat bran, flax seed, bee pollen and dandelion root powder. Oh and some high quality dry dog food for extra protein.

Bias here too.
I just started using dubia roaches about 3 months
and have been made a believer.....
Outstanding food choice.
One already big gecko male went from
104...to 111, to 116 grams,
and others jump up
and down when they see the Roach guy coming.
I also feed a variety of worms..meal, super, wax.

i mainly use mealworms, waxworms, and sometimes crickets and my gecko seems to be growing very well. But i cant say hands up or hands down on blaptica roaches because ive never use them. so i cant tell u not to use those.

I use mealies and Supers but have heard a lot of good things about roaches. I might pick some up soon.
