Hi everyone, my leo still hasnt eaten in a while, so she hasnt had calcium or vitamins in a long time either as a result of not eating. Her temps are 93-95 ish, shes on slate, her terrarium is 36 X 18 x 17, she has 2 warm hides, 1 moist hide, 1 cool hide, 24/7 access to fresh water, calcium dish, bridges/hammocks to climb on. its been like 2 months where she only ate 2 superworms in between those 2 months, which is almost nothing, she ignores food, but runs out of her hides and climbs the glass hoping for someone to pick her up. She will follow anybody she sees and will instantly run onto someones hand, but ignores food. she looks healthy, but i can tell she is loosing weight, she poops, she sheds, but dosent eat. i tried supers, mealies, canned crix and silkworms, but she ignores em. Something wrong with her or what?

My little leo was having similar behaviors and I think I finally figured out that there was too much light in the room we keep her in, which is also our computer room. We keep all the lights off, but I think the flashing lights of the computers when my husband and I are gaming were stressing her out. So last night, I put a pillow case over the front of her tank until we were done and she seemed a lot more relaxed. She had never quit eating, but was eating less. Last night when I checked on her, she had ate at least 8 mealworms after kind of shunning them for a week or so. Don't know if this helps or not. Just a thought :)

oh i forgot to add that she is 9-10 months old, so i think it could be the ovulation thing? shes never been with a male leo. i dont think lights are a problem, because her hides are pitch black on the inside, and the only light thats ever on in my room is the fluorescent light on my aquarium nearby.

im gonna bump this. Eko still isnt eating. She runs around and begs to be picked up, but ignores food, even waxworms, its like she dosent see them, only tongs or fingers. Shes turning white, so hopefully shedding will fix her appetite. Any suggestions?

You just wait it out. (I take it you're not breeding her). If she has a healthy looking fat tail I wouldn't worry too much. It's when she gets skinny is when you have to worry. Just let her be for a few days. Then try to offer food again.

OK you just mentioned she poops?? That means she has to be eating.Because if there is no intake of then there shouldnt be poop

she most probably has been eating her shed as they do.
im finding the same with a few of mine at the moment this is because the weather in england right now is a bit crazy and they are sensative to it. if she starts to loose weight just feed her a slurry mixture to boost her up, this might get her stomach going again to eat by her self

Pay NO attention to the ignorant troll, please.

Zencoran, she looks to be a nice health size, no danger if she doesn't want to eat. When they crossover to adult size, their appetite decreases. Their body doesn't require as much food as when they were growing up. Females typically don't eat when ovulating, tho some are pigs and still do. Some don't want to eat when going into a shed. Some of my adults do well to eat a few times a week, others I hope will eat at least once a week. It's breeding season and they're all acting different except one girl who is a pig. Even females who have never been with a male are affected by the seasonal changes. You girl looks great, try not to worry too much :)
