This is the first season I have used lids with know holes on my incubation containers. I was wandering. If they hatch while I'm at work how long would the babies live in the container? Let me put it a little more mellow. What is the maximum ammount of time they could be left in the container without causing them any harm. Thank you

So long as there is enough air space, and humidity, I'd say 2 - 3 days. After that they will have their first shed and will want to eat. If you check your incubator daily, you'll have no problems. They'll be just fine for the 8 hours you're at work.

I agree they would be fine in there for a couple of days. I don't have holes in my egg containers either and I find it holds the moisture much better than with holes.
