When Can i candle a leopard gecko egg?

So my female leopad gecko laid her first ever egg today and she laid it on the newspaper substrate. I am worried that it is infertile but ever since it was laid it has been growing. I was wondering when I can candle it to be sure it is fertile or not?

You can candle it anytime really. I dont usually candle mine until there about a week old. but if your careful and dont move the egg, it should be fine being candled

I usually candle mine 3-4 days after they are layed so they are hard and have been in the incubator long enough that the inside of the egg is the same temperature as the incubator is. Usually by then you will be able to see a little red embryo at the top of the egg.
